Rick Miller, former Chief Executive Officer of Intersport Fashions West, announces the formation of his new company; Thrill Ride Sport. Rick has spent 20 years with Interpsort as C.E.O., the last five working for Eurobike who bought the company from Rick and Denis LaBonge in 1999. He and partner Denis LaBonge agreed to stay on with the company through December 2003. When it became apparent that Eurobike was again going to sell the company to Fairchild Sports Inc., Rick decided it was time to leave and do something different. Subsequently, Rick officially left Fairchild in April 2004. Rick came up with the name Thrill Ride because riding motorcycles had always been such a thrill for him, dating back to his days as a product manager and director of Parts and Accessories for Harley-Davidson Motor Co. from 1977 to 1984. The thrill never diminished as he stayed a major supplier to Harley-Davidson during his tenure at Intersport Fashions West as he was the lead man on the Harley-Davidson account and directly responsible for a lot of the design and production that went into producing the H-D Motorclothes garments for both the U.S. and European markets. Rick has become one the industry's premier authorities on leather and leather garment production especially as it relates to the motorcycle market. He has stayed an avid motorcyclist owning dozens of bikes including H-D's, Ducati's and Honda's. Thrill Ride the brand, will focus on the cruiser and street riding markets offering a full line of garments including leather garments, textile garments, t shirts, hats, sweatshirts, etc. Initially the line will concentrate on the men's market but will enter the ladies market in the next few coming seasons. Rick has teamed up with John Voisinet, another clothing professional with over 25 years experience in the clothing business with such brands as Ocean Pacific, Alpine Stars, Harley-Davidson Europe, and Fender. Thrill Ride Sport has also signed a letter of Intent with Jack Daniels to produce and market a line of motorcycle wearing apparel to be sold to the motorcycle market. The line will be launched in February 2005 at the Indianapolis show. The line will focus on leather and textile outerwear including jackets, pants, chaps and vests, bags, some accessories and some t shirts and sweatshirts. Thrill Ride is teaming up with several other companies that will be presenting the Jack Daniels lifestyle to the motorcycle market. Other products that will be offered include boots, belts, buckles, wallets, and a variety of hats. Thrill Ride was selected to become the licensee for leather and outwear because of Rick's strong background in these categories and his knowledge of the market place.
